Mission Statement
a) Purpose Statement - The Eagle's Nest of Alabama is exclusively organized and operated for charitable, cultural, educational, patriotic and religious purposes.
b) Activities to Achieve Purpose
i) Charitable
(1) To support all U.S. Armed Forces personnel currently on active duty, at home or abroad, and their families; through hosting, sponsoring and participating in food drives and local food banks.
(2) To support all U.S. Veterans, and their families; through hosting, sponsoring and participating in food drives and local food banks.
(3) To host, sponsor and participate in toy drives for the collection and distribution of new, unwrapped toys for Native American children in need.
(4) To host, sponsor and participate in clothing drives for the collection of clothing for Native American children in need.
ii) Cultural
(1) To host, sponsor, and perpetuate the distinctive of the ways of living of the Native American People.
(2) To host, sponsor, and perpetuate the ways of dancing, drumming and singing of the Native American People.
(3) To host, sponsor, and perpetuate the rich cultural heritage of the Native American People.
iii) Educational
(1) To educate the young, the future of the People, in the ways of Native American ceremonies, dancing, drumming, and singing.
(2) To educate on the differences and similarities of Native American Cultural Diversity, specifically the cultures and traditions of Native American peoples.
(3) To promote the cultural, spiritual and social development of all Native American peoples.
ivi) Patriotic
(1) To increase public awareness of the needs of Veterans, members of the U.S. Armed Forces, and their dependents.
(2) To carry on programs to perpetuate the memory of deceased veterans and members of the U.S. Armed Forces and to comfort their survivors.
(3) To host, sponsor and/or participate in celebrations honoring Veterans.
(4) To host, sponsor and/or participate Memorial services in honor of deceased Veterans or members of the US Armed Forces.
(5) To host, sponsor and participate in the construction of a Native American Veterans Memorial recognizing Native American Veterans from World War I to the present and beyond.
vii) Religious/Spiritual
(1) To host, sponsor and participate in Spiritual Retreats.
(2) To host, sponsor and participate in Gatherings.
(3) To host, sponsor and participate in Native American Ceremonies.
(4) To present a diversity of Native American spiritual views.
(5) To provide a safe environment to learn and discover tools and methods of Native American Spirituality.
(6) To host and sponsor Native American worship ceremonies/services.
(7) To host, sponsor and participate in the Native American religious/spiritual education of our children.
(8) To host, sponsor and participate in the Native American religious/spiritual education and growth of religious/spiritual leaders.
(9) To provide a time that is spent apart from the ordinary workings of society -- a time of rest and reflection.
c) Beneficiaries
i) The surrounding community through the education of and exposure to the similarities and diversities of Native American culture and tradition.
ii) The Native American People through the perpetuation and furtherance of culture and tradition.
